CVR held their annual Porsche Club Race at Lime Rock Park. And Speedsport Tuning clients were there in force. With Boxsters, Caymans, and Cup Cars, too! Want to join in on the fun? Check out our Competition Services.

Speedsport Tuning’s Jeff Adams is one of North America’s top, and most sought-after, air-cooled Porsche technicians. So, vintage Porsche owners from across North America send their beloved and valuable vehicles to our facility in Danbury, CT for Jeff’s expertise. On any day of the year, numerous air-cooled Porsches, including many 356s, are awaiting the expert care of Jeff and his team. We never grow tired of the scenery.

A long-time client purchased a Cayman R. He asked us to make it a better track car, and to personalize it in the process. Matching the exterior color, we powder-coated and installed a roll bar. We also painted some interior trim pieces to match. And of course, there was suspension work, a brake upgrade, race seats, harnesses, etc. Result? The cars was faster and the happy owner showed it off whenever possible.

Porsche 550 Spyder Engine Install

When an engine is worth more than the average home price in the US, patience is the word.

Spyder Creations is building a very limited number of recreations of the iconic Porsche 550 Spyder. These all-aluminum, hand-crafted roadsters use original running gear and components to meticulously recreate one of the world’s rarest and most-coveted sportscars. Spyder Creations vehicles are so accurate, few people, even air-cooled Porsche enthusiasts, can tell them apart from the few, surviving, multimillion-dollar originals.

After the aluminum shells are shipped to Speedsport Tuning, our expert vintage technicians begin the painstaking process of building the car. Led by Jeff Adams, Speedsport Tuning installs everything: rebuilt vintage engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, wiring, fuel tank, exhaust and electrical. Essentially everything except upholstery and paint is the responsibility of Speedsport Tuning. We are honored to be part of this exciting project.
